Vermont SportsCar RallyCross, September 28, 2003
With a season of rallycrossing coming to a close, the Champlain Valley Exposition Center in Essex Junction, VT hosted the Vermont SportsCar RallyCross. Rain all Sunday morning moistened the course, turning a planned dirt-and-gravel track into a mud pit. The track was reconfigured following the first runs to avoid some of the larger ponds.
With the Talon at full power for the first time, how could it sit idle? Sure, it needed a power-washing afterwards, but you don't get a chance to play dirty that often. In addition, we hosted some members of the RPI Rally Club who ventured up to the Burlington area with us, some getting their first taste (albeit a wet one) of rallycrossing.
The majority of these photos are from the first runs on the original course layout, after which I switched to video.
