RSCA Autocross Action, 4/21/2001
The Rensselaer Sports Car Association hosts a number of autocross events for RSCA members, RPI students, faculty and alumni. Temporary courses are set up in the North parking lot, with approval from officials from the Sports Car Club of America. SCCA rules apply to all entrants, with top timers taking home trophies for a first-, second- or third-place run.
Knowing people who compete in the autocrosses regularly, I make sure to attend as many as I can. I tend to focus on friends' cars but try to get a good glimpse of the field if possible.
